It is a product defect. You need to call customer service to fix the problem right now. I have a Kitchenaid ice box, and the same water leakage happened to me after 1.5 year (after 1-year warranty period). The customer service is kind enough to send a technician with no cost to me, and now no water leakage any more.

The new Kitchaid models should be fine. I bought mine two years ago, which I paid nearly $3000 (a countertop one). The customer service said it was the defect part in all old models (sold in a year or two years ago) that caused the leakage.I would suggest you to give customer service a call. Just give you a peace of mind.

Whirlpool有相同漏水的问题。很严重吗?打电话给Customer Service,上门费81刀。

Whirlpool and Kitchenaid are the brand names, and both belong to the same company. I am not surprised to hear Whirlpool has the same water leakage problem, as they might use the same part from same OEM vendor.Whirlpool is a better brand in washing machine, while Kitchenaid is more well-know for Kitchen appliances.

any suggestion? Do you think whether it is worth to repair it, or not?

it is a personal judgement. Depending on things like when you bought it, how much you bought it, how much the total cost will be to fix the problem (labor + part cost), etc.If you bought it less than two years, try to negotiate with customer service guys. I negotiated with them and ended up with a happy ending (they waived any fee) even though it is after 1-year warranty time period.
