枫下家园 / 亲亲宝贝 / 夜深人静,我想请教大家一个问题:一个zero screen time 的小孩儿到底有可能失去什么?我儿如今三岁4个月,除了每周和国内爷爷奶奶视频半小时左右,没有其他screen time. 具体讲:没有电视、电脑、手机、一切液晶屏玩具。因为家里不怎么开电视,他也从不要求看,每日忙忙碌碌,快快活活。从三岁始入蒙校,渐渐接触英语,未见困难,据老师说学习上还“相当可以”。问题是,不是他有问题,是我有,我有点儿异类感。接触的孩子越多,我越担心是否因为缺少电视我儿缺少了什么关键的成长因素?
有没有妈妈愿意指点一下的?谢谢了。

我家小子现在还不到三个月,每天我们只要看电视,他就歪着个头,偷看!我要是把他转过来,他就接伸懒腰的时候偷看,我现在就觉得这孩子长大了不好管教的,哎!我该怎么办。。。

孩子在我旁边的时候我不看电视 -- 花样滑冰,跳水,足球例外,一年大概三次?等她睡着了如果我还有力气,就看看,所以过去的三年我的娱乐方式基本变成了听收音机节目和读书。

我支持你!相信你只会获得,不会失去。最近在看一本书,系统讲述了各种屏幕对孩子的负面影响。不看意味着孩子有更多时间游戏,活动身体,动脑筋。我也曾担心女儿会很另类,可她从幼儿园和商店看到听到很多流行元素的内容,已经让我有点受不了了,所以家里是要坚决控制的。当然我们家应爸爸的强烈要求,现在每天我做晚饭的时候给她看半小时DVD。但老实讲,就这半小时我都很勉强,因为她一闲下来,就提出要看。尽管会遭到拒绝,但还是证明孩子不会自己寻找喜欢的游戏,需要大人很多帮助。她上小学以后,如果实在抗不住朋友同学的影响,我也许会让她每天看半小时电视,这是底线。我觉得孩子的品质是最重要的,而电视,网络,电子游戏中有很多价值观念我不认同。孩子大了之后我能坐下来和她一起看一起讨论,解释为什么我不同意;孩子小解释不清楚或她不理解的时候我不会让她受这些观念先入为主的影响。

屏幕对眼睛的伤害可以用高科技解决,眼球不是都能换了么?屏幕对大脑的伤害也不是人人需要担心,人家有钱人家的孩子不用动脑子的;关键我是怕对人心灵的伤害。一个人失去了自制能力,创造自我的能力,那该如何是好呢?但问题是,我怎么能确认:排除屏幕这个媒介,我给他的就是正面的因素?他是不是应该自我选择?自我判断?自我发展?
还有,我们不同意的那些价值观,怎么像他解释呢?他们有没有知情权?他们不会失去什么吗?
我是坚定地无“屏幕主义”,为了最大限度的“不以我为他的先入之见”,我小心翼翼的寻求方法。再谢!

要我完全0 screen 好像很难,我发现孩子在电视和iPad上还是能学很多东西的,是不是这样也能和其他孩子有一些沟通的话题?screen time 当然是要严格控制的,我一般每天不多于半个小时,是睡觉前,和她一起看。

我们陪看的都是小孩的东西,半小时之后坚决关机,她一开始会闹一下,知道我们说一不二之后就不再闹了,白天几乎是不看的,除非在学校里看了我不知道。如果白天看了,晚上就没有了。

所以说每个孩子都是父母的试验品,都是按照父母的意识和习惯来栽培的。我的还小,但是我看到过去很多对电视的否定的观点现在也变成看电视的小孩子比不看电视的小孩子更smart。我想凡事都取决于一个“量”吧。

这句最有道理。小朋友小的时候,除了先天决定的一些东西(具体是啥我也不清楚,所以不好说),基本上都是受周围的影响和支配,一般情况下以父母的影响最大。除非做两组实验,一组normal screen time,一组Zero screen time,其他的条件都一模一样(可能不可能另看),然后等他/她们长大了成人了,找一天统一比较,看看到底有啥区别。
现在的环境和我们长大时候的环境区别太大,从吃的,到穿的,到用的,screen time?估计只是一个小小的因素之一吧?只要父母用心了,小朋友健康成长,其他的你也控制不了,除非每天呆在家里。

很多电视节目可以教给小孩很多知识文化,习俗,让孩子开阔眼界,在潜移默化中提高,也如LZ说的增加小朋友之间的谈资,象TVO 就不错。父母有空能陪看,给予讲解就更胜过小孩自己看。0-Screen 不太可取!

非常高兴你发起这个讨论。最近读本书《The Mother of All Parenting Book, from Preschool to Preteen Years》,有专门的章节讨论屏幕的危害和没有屏幕给孩子玩什么培养他们的创造力。楼下很多关于电视开阔孩子视野的说法我同意,但只适用于五六岁以上的小孩,三岁不适用。

我自己是蒙教的狂热份子,坚信三到六岁的孩子就是在与环境的接触中、而不是通过屏幕认知世界。他们的大脑、性情、思维正在形成,任何强烈的刺激和过度的表达都只是伤害。
我们的孩子差不多大,我们也年纪相当,能不能认识一下,进一步向你讨教?

我们的观点并没有根本的冲突啊。我同意你的看法:适当的屏幕时间能够作为孩子的辅助学习手段。美国和加拿大的儿科医学会也都是0-2岁之前0屏幕,2岁之后可以允许半小时以内的屏幕时间。只是根据我家的实际情况,认为0屏幕对我也许是个更好的选择。

过犹不及。让小孩看电视有三种方式:根本不管小孩看的是什么;挑选合适的内容给小孩看;挑选合适的内容和小孩一起看。都知道哪种最好,只是大人愿意/能够付出多少时间精力不同罢了。

两岁以前应该zero screen time,但两岁之后要坚持到什么时候呢?四岁五岁还是十八岁?我儿子在day care,老师偶尔会给放电视看。记得两岁多的时候有次老师告诉我说他们看了关于各种车辆的节目,说我儿子特别喜欢孩子不一定要给看动画片,一些体育、音乐、舞蹈还有纪录片都挺好的。电视是孩子了解这个世界的一个手段,放弃它肯定是一个损失。当然,我是坚决反对让孩子被动陪看电视剧的,那些以大喊大叫来表现情感的拙劣表演对孩子的成长无异于毒药。

搞清楚无电视环境的目的是什么就好办了。我家刚来加拿大时,三年未买电视,每三星期带孩子去图书馆,孩子很快养成了读书习惯。然后,家里的电视电脑,只要孩子完成了作业,就随便用了。

从来就是如此。孩子回家,我只问作业做完没有,如果做完了,爱干什么干什么。如果玩的时候发现没做完作业,罚三天。另外一条,大人的身教很重要。

两岁以后,每天看个半个小时不到应该不会有什么负面影响吧?我一直认为堵不如疏完全不给看似乎有点太绝对了,就怕将来他有机会接触电视以后会喜欢的过了头。

任何事情,最难的莫过于“适当”;任何人,最难的品质,莫过于“自我管理”。如果你们可以做到了,那自然是要坚持自己的做法,也自然是最适宜的做法。我们的情况没有那么幸运。我自己相当“悲观主义”,不相信任何轻而易举就具备的能力,也不相信我的儿子,才三岁半的人会自我调控和管理得了自己。所以我做最坏的准备,做最极端的准备。

我觉得zero screen有millions利,不过可能有一个potential的弊,就是小朋友在别人家里或其他场合接触到screen后有可能会(也可能不会)一发而不可收拾。我本人还是赞同小时候尽量控制,大起来后要靠疏而不是靠堵。

这个担心真是很有必要呢。事情都是相反相成,正反两面,所以也只好疏、不能堵。我是劲量把屏幕这个“媒介” 给堵了,但同时加强通过这个媒介而传送的“信息”。他对电视中的画面内容并不会陌生。他平时接触的信息内容非常丰富,而且也习惯了一面看、一遍仔细琢磨、反复观看的获取信息方式。我用这个方法来缓解你提到的这个问题。他们能疯狂的爱上什么呢?总不至于是那些大大小小的硬方框子吧。

孩子将来发展成什么样子,基因已经决定了90%以上。在其他10%的各种因素里面,电视电脑的负面影响实在是微乎其微。我们不能讲标准英文,所以youtube是孩子早期学习的重要工具, 从最开始的Numbers,phonics,colors和shapes, 到后来的天文地理等科普知识。

太有道理啦!那就让小朋友们撒丫子可劲儿看吧,越看越灵巧,越看越能接近人类最先进的文明呢。可有个问题,按您说的,在仅占10%的后天因素里,如果屏幕的负面效应微乎其微了,那正面作用又占几何呢?撒丫子看也不一定有个什么屁没用么。哈哈哈,哈哈哈。。。一个人只有10%的活头儿了,还学什么学!就在娘胎里求神拜佛算了!哈哈哈。。。
