相约北美 / 探亲团聚 / Cannot type Chinese at work. Canada Post shows my package to the CIC has been delivered on Dec 21, but I still have not got anything from CIC, no email, no online update. Which number can I call to contact CIC? Thanks.

Thanks, I just called. They did receive my package. The agent said for straightforward cases, it will be transferred to Ottawa, if not, then local office. So I guess whosoever cases being transferred to Ottawa will be processed quicker.

straightforward doesn't mean anything else other than simple. Simple cases can be as slow as complicated ones if the government wants to do so. Do you think a parent sponsorship case can be so complicated that it requires more than 8 years go process?
