只有她一个。 她唯一的“训练”就是在尼泊尔工作几个月间,骑了些山地车,回来后没钱,就买了辆二手车,听说有个比赛就去参加,冠军,够了级别参加世界级比赛又冠军。2005年有人对她说: Ironman从此她生平第一次听说了Ironman
2006年就去Ironman Korea 试了一下,冠军。 够了资格去夏威夷的Kona.
2007宣布辞了政府小职员的职,当职业运动员。 到了Kona,就象刘姥姥进了大观园,just be happy there. 结果又冠军。领先第二名40多分钟,连男子都算上,世界第八。
Where was the training and learning? I did not see it.

迈克尔乔丹练了20多年篮球,老虎伍兹4岁半,到16岁也花了近12年。 Mark Allen在Kona 的第八次比赛终于击败了Dave Scott才拿到冠军。 拳王阿里,Armstrong, .... you name it. 所有加起来也没她基因厉害。. Chrissie 用时为零 , 100% 靠基因。我只是替她那些同时代的艰苦训练10年以上的竞争者们感到绝望。 一切都是天生,再练也没用。

娘胎里带来的冠军命,玩的也能赢,这木啥可比性。要是练了20年球,或也有4岁的天赋,却没有乔丹,老虎的运气,那才比较绝望吧。这些日子没见,你们已经把目标跟‘冠军’定在一起了?

她当然也训练了,只是太牛,别人训练10年才能出来的结果,她不到一年就能达到。 原来体育界的一致的看法是短跑是天生的(基因比重大些),长跑是训练出来的(基因比重小些),她证明了long endurance sport 一样如同跑百米,基因起决定因素。

任何运动都是要基因的,包括长跑铁人等endurance sport。我长跑教练常说每个人都有一个基因决定的ceiling,只不过大部分人都离这个ceiling还很远,通过系统的训练可以接近这个ceiling,但是是不会突破这个ceiling的。Chrissie Wellington属于ceiling超高,而随便训练两下就提高迅猛的少数特例,没有必要因此而自暴自弃感到绝望。

没错,即便是同样训练水平,也应该是有快有慢。有的人属于快速到位,练几年和练几个月没什么大区别,有的人则是慢火,得慢慢开发总有提高。据说一个美国篮球教练曾经去非洲原始部落考察,部落里随便找一壮年小伙子,这辈子第一次见过篮球的,训练10分钟就可以扣篮。

这很正常,有什么绝望?拼身体拼脑子都一样,你念书的时候难道没遇到过玩儿着学也比你拼着学学得好的同学?我高中时代就是玩儿着学,学得还算不错,所以也没意识到这一点。
上了大学以后才意识到,即便是拼死了学,也赶不上有的同学玩儿着学学得好。
这是我接受大学教育所学到的最重要人生观念之一。

她的左大腿都是伤,tweeter都贴了照片。只能更证明她的天才。大家perspective 不一样,谈的就不是一码事。我是说任何人都有训练前的起点(A), 通过训练能达到的个人顶峰(B), 即你说的ceiling. 她的B 点多高我不知道,没准你的B点比她还高:7小时以内,但训练100年后才能达到。 但她的A点,却是起点太高,稍微练几个月就夏威夷总冠军8个多小时。业余选手时就Ironman Asia冠军。体育界找不出第二人。

那晚从头看到尾,太晚,第二天本计划早起游泳,结果给害得睡懒觉了。那个Michael Levato得了20多名,但比Muskoka 得冠军高兴多了。Chrissie的跑步姿势整个一业余,比澳洲第二名的Marina(?)姿势差很多,但就慢了30夺秒。
