相约北美 / 探亲团聚 / 4 year multiple entries visitor's visa granted for mom.Just wanted to share this with everyone here. My mom just got her passport back from the Visa Information Center in Beijing. She was issued with the multiple entries visitor's visa that's valid for 4 years. Nothing special about her application other than change the visa type to multiple entries. She did visit us in the States a few years ago, but that's the only trip she took abroad.

去年刚把Sponsorship递上去。是独生子女，而且父母离异。夫妻都有professional jobs. 大概就是这样。来说一下只是为了给一些朋友信息。没其他想法。说不上鸡肋，只是为了涂个方便，因为母亲不住在北京，上海。至少这几年来往都不用担心签证了。 -huifengyuan(huifengyuan); 2010-8-23 (#6242274@0)

四年 multiple entries不是你来了就可以呆四年，而是你在四年内可以来多次，每次如果没有特别注明，还是六个月居留期。 -ding_ding(丁_丁); 2010-8-24 (#6243538@0)

Answers.The visa application was submitted through the Visa Information Center in Beijing, so there was no questions asked. Plus my understanding is that sponsorship has nothing to do with visa applications what so ever. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

The only thing different is to check the Multiple Entries on the application form. You don't need to specify or there is even nowhere to specify how long you are applying the visa for.

I definitely didn't mention about sponsorship at all.In my opinion, these are 2 different topics. One is to immigrate; and the other is to visit. Even if they were asking the question if the applicant has applied for immigration before, I would've said NO since sponsorship is not an immigration application.
