If you already file the application, you should be fine unless CIC is asking your latest income. two things you can do: 1. try to find better job and increase your income as soon as possible.2. If you are unemployed, do not apply EI or any government subsidy. However, my understanding is based on what I know several years ago. Good luck.

SUBSIDY看的是net income，sponsor看的是gross income。可以gross income比net income高的多。但我的理解是你已经报完税，且gross income已经低于sponsor的标准，那就没戏了。除非你改报税，有合理的理由，并补罚款。
