Agree! If you are working in utility as an engineer, the salary is not high. But it is very stable. You never have to be worried about layoff. But when economic is good, don't envoy IT guys high salary.

It depends.If you design a anolog chip, you design everything in the chip. You have to draw every CMOS transisters, Capacitors, Resistors and most diffcultly On Chip Inductor to bulid up your PLL, LNA (low noise amp), Mixer, etc... (For RF design)

Usually you only design a block in digital chip design, but for anolog chip design you desgin the whole thing.

It's much easy for digital things. You only write Verilog or VHDL code and no layout at all. For anolog design it's much more complicated. It depends on the technologe.
