You do not have to do anything unless they ask for updating. In fact their system has all your relevant information.

That is my experience. I called them to update something and I was told that they already have the information. Pls. share yours with us.

我觉得你应该先通知他们，因为在申请档案的时候，特意有一句话就是如果你的家庭情况发生任何变化，请及时通知之类的言语。不要被动的等待他们来问你，那样你会耽误更多的时间。

理论上是要主动通知的，尤其是你的收入仍然qualified这么多人口的话，it doesn't hurt if you let them know！那些不主动通知的通常是因为收入变得不够，期望移民局不复查而过关；居人屋檐下，尽孝殊不易！
