This is a problem that is almost impossible to fix. The only real solution is protectionism, tell all the companies that if you want to sell your products and services here, you must hire workers and produce here.Otherwise, all the jobs will just continue to migrate to China, India and other places where workers are paid 5% of American wages and have access to the same technologies. It simply make no sense for companies to produce anything in America and other high cost countries unless they are forced to do so.

The idea of free trade is everyone do their best; it can be in term of technology, skill, cost..... China, India... etc are well known for thier low cost and reasonable quality. US cusotmers has all their right not to go to Walmart.

that's why I say solving the global economic imbalance is mission impossible. And the damage on the US economy and its standard of living is huge. No country can live on borrowed money forever.

"No country can live on borrowed money forever", you are right to the point! Only US can save herself. Control Spending and start saving. It would be painful process! Just like if you earn 100,K a year and you own a million dollars. What is the best way to solve probem, definitely not pointing finger to China and India.
I borrow a lot of money to buy because the goods are so cheap so I buy a lot. This is what Obama tried to tell the rest of the world.
