枫下茶话 / 政治经济 / 诚心征询大家的意见,灌水者莫入,回贴请认真: 在公司一非正式会议上,当大家谈到从中国采买设备时,一位海外长大的Chinese讲到 "I don't trust the Chinese". 请问你会怎样看待这句话和会怎么反应, 谢谢。

You can seriously ask him why he does not trust chinese, or products from china, let him talk..does not trust chinese is racial discrimination, does not trust products from china need him to prove it with facts, let him talk until he makes a mistake somewhere, stop him, and try to teach him a lesson from there.

How can one say that in a company meeting? I wonder what is the reaction from others. That sentence is definitely discrimination.

You have to put it in the context of the whole conversation. For example, when several people decide where to go for lunch and you say "I don't like Chinese'. These's nothing wrong. If the matter of trust is important in deciding from where to purchase the equipment, and you say 'I don't trust the Chinese', there's nothing wrong either.
