Haper said,"Canadian economic fundamental is sound". The unemployment rate jumped to 6.3 per cent. The house sale was down 50% in Nov. The revenues of all banks are down from 15% to 50%.Also the death of canadian soldiers in Afghanistan reached 100 yesterday.

The unemployment rate is only 6.3%. When I came to Canada, the unemployment rate was higher than 7.0%. The unemployment rate even reached 8% in August 2003. Which federal party was in power at that time?

The unemployment rate started to decline after 2004. Although the current 6.3% is not historically high, with an average 1% rise per month, I bet you are expected to see the worst scenario very soon.

What's this then? "Canada loses 70,600 jobs in a month, Nov. 2008 , most since 1982: unemployment 6.3 per cent ". Unless you do not understand the language at all or you simply ignore the fact.

No matter how many jobs were lost in Nov., unemployment rate at 6.3% is still low.

It is pity that you have the same thought as Mr.Harper that Canadian economy is still sound. That is why he refused to take an immediate action and commit his promise in the Global Leaders' Summit.

Harper won time for himeself to hang on to power, but lost time for Canada to deal with the enomic crisis (it is no more a financial crisis) in a serious manner. Sad for Canada, good for Harper.
