good suggestion. Thanks, that's my thinking. house there is relatively cheap in most places and it's still dropping good time to buy with a stong canadian dollar.

Life is always you get something, you lose something!Maybe Laywer is very specific case. But for other profression job, there is no difference. My boss is a US citizen but he works in calgary. I know a lot of Canadian doctors go to US. Right now the best universities in US treat the Canadian and US students same. They just care of the students have talent. For ordinary university, candna is not bad because of its low cost.

She supports meShe is a licensed health care proffessional, she should find a job once she get license in USA if she likes. but I prefer she stays with kids when kids are young. Yes, you are right, the really big issue is parents. They moved here, living close to us. They seems enjoy life in Calgary.

Green card is the least you may consider when you decide to move. As we all will get one eventually. However, your parents, your wife's stable job might be drawbacks for you. Just for Career wise, I would say go.

never try to build up a career as you describedI never think I have any chance to build a career path like developer->manager. It's realy hard for most of immigrats when they are in thirties. I won't do that. I'm sure I'm NOT "牛人". so I gave up full time perm 5 years ago, working as project based contractor, my goal is to make a little bit more money, trying to move to a bit bigger house and dreaming early retirement.

so wrong. If you work at a specific state, you are considered as a resident of that state, then you pay the resident tuition fee, not the international one.
