I am looking for Senior .Net Developer. A company at bay area said 100k is too high, and a NYC company only affords 80k. I don't think these number are for Senior though. Envying you...

It is a contract position. The consulting firm offered me $95k/year for perm, but I prefer contract on W2 or C2C

Irvine. Irvine的房价是比较高的,租房整个orange county都贵。但Irvine周边城市可以承受。

Choose Irvine. The house price is dropping here and you will find a good deal later.

That is my concern, don't want to grab a dropping knife.

If this is your first job in US, you might not have enough credit get better in morgage any way, no matter in Irvine or other place. So for first year (or two), don't worry about the house.

It is not a problem for me. I used to stay in states for 5 years.

That makes lot of things easier, includes making the decision.

I wonder how you can get a corp-to-corp contract. Are you holding TN visa?

That is my concern too.Don't know the exact step to do corp-to-corp. The agent said ok for canadian corp, they can do sub-contract. My concern is then the corprate tax rate will be higher, since the client is NOT in Canada.
They can also do $58 on W2, but no benifit. Compared with $50 in KY, seems no advantage.
Yes, I will hold TN visa.
