枫下家园 / 金秋年华 / OAS question: Thanks in advance! My Mother came to Canada two years before she became PR. Now she has been in Canada for almost 10 years (including those two) and she is going to apply for the OAS.
1. Does anyone know if those two years count as part of the 10-year requirement for OAS?
2. What kind of document do we need to provide?
3. She has left Canada (back to China and travel to the States) for short period of time during those two years. Would it be a problem?
I appreciate any information.

政策性的问题还是去政府网上好好的细读,当然还有随机性,办事的当事人很重要。

That two years are not count, you need to give the landing date. If she travel outside Canada less than 6 month, it's ok.Actually, you can download the forms from official web and following the forms, all your question can be answered. She can start to fill the form now, they decided when she'll have it.
