Pinyin is a kind of "bridge". I cannot imagine how I can teach them to prounce Chinese word without Pinyin as a tool.

我孩子去的是HAMILTON的中文学校. 学校给买的书,不知道不是该校学生是否可以买.我记得书上写着(或至少以前写过)国务院侨办免费赠送的.收钱是运输和其他成本之类的.我记得一个老师曾经说过,他们也没有书,是去多伦多按人头拿回来的.每年九月第一周报名登记,登记的时候就交$10钱,第二周孩子们才拿到书了.如果第一周错过了,第二周就没有书.
