枫下家园 / 亲亲宝贝 / If baby has both Chinese and English first names. (A) On the Birth Certificate, we can only put one first name on it, either the first name in PinYin or English first name, is that right?(B) If we use English first name on Birth Certificate, there will be no identification showing baby's first name in Chinese, is that right? Thanks!

It shows Rose MeiLi Zhang .When you apply the birth certificate, there is The First Name: Rose; The Second Name: Meili; The Last Name: Zhang. And the health card & SIN shows the same :Rose MeiLi Zhang .

Did anyone use mother's surname as baby's middle name? For example, Rose Zhang's mother's surname is Huang, baby's full name Rose H Zhang: first name Rose, middle name H, last name Zhang? Thanks!

It is up to you to name your baby. But be sure not use the caurse languages and some too special words. It is your choice to decide the name nowand after the baby is 16 years old,he/she can choose whatever they like to be their name.

why not hyphenated last name? Huang-Zhang? saw people have it that way, and kids can choose which one they want to use later.
