有道理....其实有钱的话送到私利学校比名校要好,很多名笑区的洋人都搬出啦,孩子们在都是国人的学笑也未必好

我不太清楚大学是不是根据学生高中成绩来录取的。如果是这样,那么民校的竞争性不是更强,上好大学的可能性更低?因为这儿没有统一高考,而学生的成绩大多数由平时课堂作业和在校表现来确定,所以?

我的意识是说上好学校由于竞争性太强,普通学生申请上大学时反而吃亏?倒是中国孩子少的学校,孩子去那里反而有优势?

你说的对.大学只看你的高中的平均分,而不看学校名气.当然要是你有全国竞赛的名次就又不一样的.而且GIFT的班,有的科目根本就不给你高分,能PASS就不错了.所以有时录取时很吃亏.

好像不是这么回事,有些学校的学生被录取的比例要高很多,并不是不同学校的同等成绩都是同等对待的。。。不过这种情况我只知道几个私校如此,不知道共校是不是什莫学校的A都是同等对待,那样的话,找个烂校到好了,多伦多平均成绩40几分的学校我在TDSB上都见过,虽然名校之说我觉得有点过分,但说多伦多的学校都差不多纯粹是误导,这在那里都是不大可能的

高中一般的话即使侥幸被好大学录取,也可能在大学跟不上被淘汰。同样90多分进的大学,大一马上现出差别。所以名大学在录取时对高中名声是心里有数的。

名大学对高中成绩和大学成绩做统计,如果发现有水分,以后录取那所中学的毕业生时成绩要打折计算。

我的孩子在名校上了四年半,后以97.3分的平均成绩进入大学。名校的教师水平实在不敢恭维。老师曾教:-(2的平方)=(-2)的平方。但名校也有可取之处。1.有的大学对名校在录取分数有自己的标准。2.名校的校风比较好,孩子很少受欺负。

-(2的平方)=4,这可能是这儿的习惯。帮LD(曾在York作TA)判试卷,好多学生这么作被我扣分,害得LD挨教授批评,以后再也不敢让我帮忙了。:DDD

难怪我看不懂呢,会计里面的一公式,xx除以xx,然后乘以100,等于n%。用实例来说是4除以10,再乘以100,等于40%,晕菜,问老师,告诉我这个公式的意思是4占10的40%。

其实他们写-(2的平方)时想表达得意思是(-2)的平方,我也不知道如果真想表达-(2的平方)时怎么写,谁在这儿上过大学给讲讲。

我问了两个加拿大本地人,都是大学毕业.他们一致认为(-2)^2=4,而-2^2=-4.....其中一个说他也写过-2^2=4,但那是急,忘了写括号.严格讲,那样写肯定是不对的,绝对不是大家都默认的形式.

我觉得你太绝对了,成绩好的学校因为平均成绩好,孩子普遍爱学习,孩子学坏的可能性低;太差的学校,要想在里面混出出类拔萃的成绩很不容易,相反学坏的可能性大;新移民去名校对孩子反而不利因为他们英文还没有过关,在华人聚集的学校不仅没有优势而且影响学英文的速度

老夫一贯的看法是:名校欲可以有一点(确实存在一些太差的学校),但不要过盛;名校和准名校学风都够好(关键还在自己的努力),但除了追求好的学风还别忘了一点:高起点的人际关系的培养……

卑职的一贯看法是:名校欲是要有一点,但是要在很高的学历来体现。多大的本科跟哈佛的本科没啥区别。但是哈佛的博士是有绝对说服力的。中学的名校有屁用。

我得看法: 多大的本科跟哈佛的本科是有绝对有区别的, 区别很大. 但是哈佛的博士跟多大的博士是没啥大区别。区别是名师.

我们买房第一考量就是好校区。好校区教师教书的责任心就是不同啊,这是亲身体验。另外校长也不同,学校的学习风气也不同。当然等到孩子长大了,那在哪儿居住并不很重要。
