That's from company's or employer's point of view. I think you will have more cash in your pocket after tax if you are a contractor.

sorry - that's not my whole point - remember time off (e.g., 3 out of 12 months) is very precious and much needed for a lot of people. a perm will only have 3 weeks or so off even if money/benefit seems equal.

I think her point isI think her point is for those who has chance to be contractor, you should know how to negotiate for the payment. After considering the tax advantage, the net income of 6w permanent has much less than 6w contract for sure.
