枫下茶话 / 美国话题 / Got multiple-year, unlimited entries H1B visa at US Consualte in TorontoJust landed in Toronto as a new Canadian immigrant. Applied for H1B visa stamp the next day at the US Consulate in Toronto. Got 3-year, multiple-entry H1B visa. No problem.
Drove back to US 3 days later. No record on my passport from both Canada side and US side.

Yes, no stamps, no record. I was surprised too.I drove back from Toronto to Buffalo during midnight. Of course, all customs booths on the Canadian side had closed and nobody from Canada cared about me. Then I headed to the US customs booth. They examined my car very carefully. But they didn't put any chop/stamps on my passport and didn't replace my old I-94. I asked them proactively: "you don't need to replace my old I-94". The officer said: "no, no, your I-94 is still valid. You are good to go."

I think they are right. But how about your H1B visa stamp? Is it in your passport?

The H1B visa stamp is on my passportThe H1B visa stamp is on my passport. But the US immigration officer didn't put a chop on my passport to indicate I did enter US from Canada at the Niagara Falls post.
