因向房东提交书面MOVE-OUT通知的时间少于一个月,我只能放弃DAMAGE DEPOSITE。但房东有权再向我索要下一个月的租金吗(他的理由是整个下月该房没有租出去)?在此向各位网友讨教。 谢谢在先了!

Forgot to ask another question. The landlord said, “your files will be sent to collections” in his letter to me. Can anyone tell me what this means?

1.2.31. the landlord is threatening you: if you don't pay, it's going to send your name to collection service, that way you credit record will be deteriorated.
2. Certainly you don't want that happen. so you may either stay for another month, or just pay as asked. either case you are entitled to get your damage deposit back if no damage whatsoever.
3. Talk to the landlord directly and nicely, see what you can do to settle the issue once and for all.
