地税是每年都要交的,没有例外。所以我想你要问的是Land Transfer Tax, 新房旧房都要,但新房会有一部分的退税。

Let's make the things clear! When you buy a new house, and it is your first house:You will get land transfer tax back if you didn't buy Ontario Home Ownership Saving Plan (OHOSP)
You won't get land transfer tax back if you bought OHOSP before. Because you already took advantage of OHOSP.

如果你从未在地球上任何地方拥有过自己的房产,而你现在要买的房是新房,那么政府将把从交易中收取的“土地转让税”退还给你。房子到手之后,房主每年都要交土地税(约等于房子价值的1%)。

你这真是叫劲了,请问他们怎么查?中国的房产记录全国联网都还没有呢。再说中国和加没有有关的协议,连你在中国银行的钱加拿大税务局都没权查,更何况房子呢。
