He then made five large squares on the ground, ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree. He first asked the black people to stand in the box that most accurately describes the way they feel about the statement, “I’m proud to be black”. Every black person went to the Strongly Agree box. He then brought in the white people and said “I’m proud to be white”. 9 of the whites went to the Strongly Disagree box and 1 woman stood in the Somewhat Agree but then started questioning herself and saying she felt like a racist.

This is what decades of indoctrination has done. The majority of white people are ashamed to be white and black people are overwhelmingly proud to be black. As long as this way of thinking continues, things will only get worse. Teach your children to be proud of their skin color. That doesn’t mean you’re teaching them to hate others.
