I think the evidence is not strong. Humans do catch lots of fish. But generally we eat all what we caught. We do not leave the fish aside and let them turn bad.
The second letter provides a stronger evidence. Housing takes away a great amount of resources. It's not only the living rooms and bedrooms, but also a lot of supporting facilities and infrastructure, like water system, power grid, sewage, gas pipeline, roads, etc. Every one of these requires taking away something from the Mother Earth.
Although it's understandable that everyone needs housing, occupying more housing than one uses is questionable. If someone owns a housing unit that he seldom uses, another housing unit has to be built to accommodate the need of someone else. The result? Humans have to take away more resources from the Mother Earth to build more houses, some of which would be left empty, for long or for short.
In my humble opinion, that's a good example of pillaging the Earth.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
