Position: Embedded Software Engineer (Job Id: 5478)
Location: Fargo, ND
Duration: 36 Months
Required Qualifications:
· Ideal candidate will have experience with advanced power electronics controllers such as power inverters for motor control or power generation, DC/DC converters, and testing on dynamometer.
· Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/ Power Electronics from an accredited engineering program.
· 5 to 8 years of experience in embedded software development for microcontrollers/DSPs.
· Ability to develop low level embedded software for microcontroller operation, memory organization, microcontroller peripherals and systems.
· Ability to develop higher levels of embedded software as needed to implement features and functions at the product and system level.
· Experience with development and debugging tools (e.g. source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.) to perform development and troubleshooting.
· Experience with formal software development lifecycle activities including peer reviews, defect tracking, verification testing, deployment, etc.
· Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
· Ability to travel up to 25% as needed to represent Client and to accomplish the tasks required of this position.
Desired Qualifications:
· Experience using Matlab/Simulink for implementation, simulation, and code generation.
· Experience with advanced power electronics controllers such as power inverters for motor control or power generation, DC/DC converters, and testing on dynamometer.
· Experience with communication networks (e.g. CAN etc.) and communication protocols (e.g. J1939, ISO11783, UDS, etc.).
· Experience with auto-code generation from simulation and modeling tools.
· Experience with closed loop control systems Sample.
