If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Don't try to mend porcelain wares unless you've got a diamond cutter.
Don't undertake a hard job if you don't have the necessary skills for it.
    • Commitment with capability
              • Jealous? Beat him if you can.
              • (#8779080@0)
    • 1. Don't take on a task requiring resources that you don't have.
      2. Don't take on more than you can handle.
      3. Don't bite off more than you can chew.

The last two are a little bit far fetched.
          • "Fetch" is very british, heard it a lot in Downton Abby, I'm wonder if there is an equivalent in American English for "Far-fetch"
            • "Far fetched" is a fairly common expression here in Canada although "fetch" is more of a British term.
              • I memorized this phrase in GRE books many years ago, after that, rarely saw it in TV, news papers, until recently heard it a lot in Downton Abby. but can't think of a similar American phrase
        ?
    • Don't bite off more than you can chew.
    • no diamond, no wedding ....
Don't take on a task requiring resources that you don't have.
      • droopy dick?
    • do what u can do
