Custody Documents
Minor children (under 17 years of age) who are travelling alone must have:
the contact information of their custodian (the person who will be responsible for them in Canada), includinging their name, address and phone number
name and address of where they will be going to school
a letter of permission from their parent(s)
a signed letter from their custodian in Canada stating that arrangements have been made for the custodian to act in place of a parent
Parent Consent Letter
You must provide a letter, signed by both your parents and/or your guardian(s), declaring that they allow another individual to travel to Canada with you, their dependent, and/or take care of you while you are living in Canada.
If you are a guardian or if only one parent is signing the letter, they must provide legal evidence of custody or guardianship, for example, a court document.
