Hence, it is almost hopeless to get a job
with your C skills. You need master C++.
To learn C++, I suggest you don't confine yourself on certain platform. I have been learning C++ for years and I am still learning.
For basics, I think "Thinking in C++: I " is really good. For advanced topics, I like
"thinking in C++: II". You can download from
www.mindview.net.
I use VC++ compiler as I learn basics.
I did not touch GUI things.
