Join us for the 5th Annual Markham Giro Cycling Event!
The Markham Giro event includes free races open to Markham children ages from 3 to 17 years on a 1.8km closed course along Cochrane Drive (see map below). The event also features competitive spectator races from the D'Ornella Racing Team riders. This year, we are adding a new age category from youth age from 14 to 17 years old.
Early Morning Kids Race – Free!
Bring your kids to participate in a free open children's race: •3-4 years old: 100 meters *starting at 9:15 a.m. •5-8 years old: 1.8km (1 lap) *starting at 9:45 a.m. •9-13 years old: 3.6km (2 laps) * starting at 10:15 a.m. •14-17 years old: 9km (5 laps) *starting at 10:45 a.m. (NEW)
IMPORTANT:
All registrants must bring their own bike helmet and bicycle in working order. Participants will receive a participant medal and t-shirt.
Participants must submit a completed and signed Waiver of Liability and Photography Consent/Release Form on the day of event at registration in order to enter race.
