本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛The first two months learning accounting was like in hell to me, I couldn’t understand the concept of debit and credit, and I actually thought about quitting. My simple explanation was that I was a dumb person.
One day, after a crappy exam, I went to the Bay, there were sales going on. One deal was - buy one, you got 10% off; buy two, you got 20%; and buy three, you got 33% off.
“Not bad”, I thought, so I picked three and went to casher.
The guy took my stuff and started calculating the price. He took 11% off on each one, so I told him that was wrong, and I should get 33% off on each.
He said:” If I give you 33% off on each, see, 33% plus 33% plus 33% is 99%, then you wouldn’t have to pay, that is just wrong.”
At that moment, I was speechless, and suddenly a released feeling fulfilled my mind – my mathematic skills are actually better than someone.
After that incident, and another month of struggle, during one class, I suddenly understood the concept of debit and credit, and then everything followed in to the right place.
I guess sometime a little bit “encouragement” and practice with patient are all we need, eh.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
