A question about "ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED PROOF OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SPONSOR" in the request letter of the medical exam notifcations.

There states "ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED PROOF OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SPONSOR IN THE FORM OF THE SPONSOR'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PREVIOUS HOUKOU (HOUSEHOLD REGISTER) DETAILING THE SPONSOR AS PART OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD, HOSPITAL BIRTH RECORDS OR OTHER CONCLUSIVE PROOF, W/ ENGLISH TRANSLATION"
And in a later paragrap in the same letter it states "All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When ORIGINAL documents are requested, notarized documents are not acceptable.所有文件必须附有与其内容相应的英文或法文翻译。如果我们要求递交的是材料原件，我们不会接受此材料的公证件".
My question is: Does this mean that my orginal notarized birth certificate cannot be used in this case? I have not been in the same HOUKOU as my parents since I went to the university at the age of 18 years and I don't have a birth certificate either. How can I provide this proof? Can I use my orginal notarized birth certificate?

I had the same situation months ago. When I read your post, I almost thought it was MY post. Here is what we did... -yichen70(奕尘); 2012-2-21 {562} (#7301303@0)
My parents went to the police division (Pai Chu Suo). The officer retrieve the original HUKOU record of our family, which has my name on it and all the history of the changes (including when my HUKOU was transferred to Beijing). My parents got a photo copy of that record with a note saying "this is a true copy" and an official seal of HUKOU office.

My brother scanned the copy and emailed it to me. I translated it and printed the English version to PDF and emailed it back. Then my parents mailed both copies to the embassy, and the embassy accepted it.

My parents went to Police Office (Pai Chu Suo), but they said that they didn't keep the history of Houkou and they are not able to provide any proof that I was in the same HouKou as my parents. Anyone has any ideas how I can do with this? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
