枫下拾英 / 乐韵书香 / Does anyone like Bobby Mcferrin? He will be at TSO on Friday night. He is the best vocalist the world can have I think. Improvised music in a very interactive way. A modern Bach in my little opinion.

He reminds me of the US before the first Iraq War. His song, "Don't worry, be happy", symbolized the money loving-government hating-we are the best in the world-Regan era US of the 1980s.

The old George Bush sang the song too long, forgot that US was in a recession in the early 1990s and lost the presidential race to Bill Clinton.
A modern Bach? Nah.
I feel he has much much more to offer than merely that song. That song to me, is only iconic. Beyond the iconic signature, people, please take a minute to look out to the WHOLE field.

I am sure that he has more to offer than just that song and I've heard some of them as well. Based on what I heard, I don't agree that he is the best vocalist in the world today, but maybe we have different criteria.

我喜欢。就是因为他跟马友友出了一张CD,Hush!很好听。最喜欢的两首是圣母颂和Vocalize。试一试more than one video footage.
