不知道楼上接受NICK 采访的朋友有何新动向,这里RICHARD 也给我回复关于几个大家关心的问题. 曙光很微弱, 但毕竟是曙光....

1.问: 如何组织游行, 是否由他来组织?

答: I put the political parties on the scent, then refer them to journalists, and person like yourself, for a packaged ready researched story.
2. 是否TEST CASES 越多越好?
答:Yes, I think more test cases will help.
3.是否TEST CASES 会比不是TEST CASES的处理加快?
答:There is no proof but statistically, we cannot explain why some of those cases were processed faster. It could be just luck. We do not know.
I don't want to encourage a person to litigate in the hope of getting faster processing time. That's not right.
4.整个诉讼过程大概会花多长时间根据你的经验?
That is under control of government... no one really knows....

    本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Presently, there is a class action that I helped begin about four years ago. We have the difficult part of the legal process coming up over the next 120 days.
    The name of the case is "Tao Li". It is currently under case management, as a proposed class action.


    You will see that I will be taking this issue into media during the first week in March.


    I think you're right. A protest will be the only real way, at the lowest cost for everyone, to make a difference quickly. So will asking for meetings with Members of Parliament about this situation.
    It is not just about parents generally. It is about parents from certain countries. For example, the flow from New Delhi processing post was baout 50% parents. It might have been what the community in Canada requested. Now, the flow is very different, and parents may need a very very long time (in excess of 12 years!) to come here.


    I am having a discussion with Nick Keung of the Toronto Star this Wednesday. If you like, I can have him contact you for the quote you have below "Our parents get older and older, we can't wait".


    About the funding: We raised some funds back in 2003/2004 from some families (not more than $350/family) and of course this covered a fraction of our disbursements. Lorne Waldman, myself, and Vancouver lawyer Gerry Cuttler have been funding this litigation ourselves. Perhaps we should go again to the public and raise funds. We have a representative plaintiff, and we need a couple more recent ones for 2009/2010. The ones we selected as test cases in the past: the government did their files quickly, to try and sabotage our use of them as 'test cases'.
