If the US did nothing after 911, if it withdraws all overseas troops, will we really have world peace? will we really be safe?

Remeber, 911 was planned long before Bush took power. The only thing the US did in the middle east at that time was to help Kuwait defeat Iraqi invasion. Why those people hate America so much that they want to kill thounsands of innocent, defenseless civilians, make everybody here lives in fear and damage economy? This is a power struggle man, the extreme Islamists have only one goal, to let Islam dominate the world, to replace the US with an Islamic power in the middle east and in the world. So their goal will always be take down the US -- the strongest non-Islamic nation on earth, the devil's head, no matter who is in the White house, no matter how soft the US government is.

      There's only one rule in the war on terror: kill your enemies before they kill you. Trying to be lenient to the enemies, to be kind and charm them, to apologize for 'America's mistakes' will never work. The terrorists want to destroy America simply because it is the strongest non-Islamic nation on earth, not because the US government does not treat them kind enough. Obama's 'soft approach' is read by terrorists as a sign of weakness, and only emboldens them.
