The operating sequence of ANY furnace is as follow
1:when the room temperature is below the setting, the controller (Thermostat) will close an electrical contact.
2:after the contact is closed, The Furnace will turn on a blower to start a purge; this is a safety operation, which will purge out all Gas that may “leak” into the combustion chamber when the furnace were standing “idle”
3: Approximately 15 to 20 seconds after, “Igniter” will glow if the furnace is an “electronic ignition”, other wise the “pilot “ must be “ON” all time in order to have the gas valve can be enabled for the heat generation
4: After the “Igniter” have glow into “Red Hot” (5 to 6 second). The “Gas Valve” opens. At this time a “flame Rod” which is an “Inline resister” it varies the resistant based on the temperature change when the flame is burning and the “Rod” is contacted with the flame will monitor the flame. If this “Flame Rod” signal did not “see” by the controller. The gas valve will be shut down immediately for a safety. Otherwise gas will be accumulated when there is no flame burning. (Therefore, the “flame rod” must be kept clean in order to transmit the signal to the controller.
5: After the flame has steady. then the air circulation blower turn on. which withdraw the in door air run throug the heat exchanger carry away the "heat" that generated by the burnner back to the all rooms. then u get a warm house. :-):-):-):-)
6: The furnace will stay on until the room temperature reached to the
Thermostat set point.
Keep u r eye open, I will put up some trouble shooting tips for why furnace would not start or burner would not be fire.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
