But you can try to get estimate from the store if you provide the dimensions of your project. So you will have better idea of the material costs. Also you can get advise from store to have your project done properly.

To give you an idea...The material of path and steps we made for our previous house costed $2500 without discount. The estimate we got from contractor(a good one who explain to me how deep he will dig, how many inches gravel he will put, how many steps will be needed and etc. ) is over $10,000.

Not only the money save, I also concern about the design. I want to do two colur pattern and different material for the edge. It may cost me more than just simple design. I prefer to do by myself just because I want the look I like. The contract may not like too complex project and will charge furture.

It is doable but lots of labor work. After this project, I truely don't want to have another one done by ourselves unless we hire some part time labors to do the physical work.

But where can I find a labor? I think most important for the project is the design and I already have one. But I don't want myself phisically do this hard job.

It's a corner house. The path is from driveway to front porch, continuing to backyard, Over 65 feet long, 3 feet wide. Also we made steps to the road from the front porch. Around the foundation, we made a curve retaining wall to host the rise flower bed.
