If you are the first time buyer, you aren't sure how long you are going to stay in your new house, don't buy everything top of line, you can't get much back when you sell your house.

That is the lesson learned by myself. I bought everything expensive for my previous brand new house. After three years I have to sell it and can't get much back.

You'd better buy everything that has steel front. You may spend more on refrigerator, steel, side by side. Maytag, GE, Whirlpool, they are all good. I had Maytag for the first house, bought LG for my current house. Don't spend too much for the dish washer and stove, especially dish washer if you won't use often. Do buy a good range hood, 樱花is good, I had 太平洋before, it costs too much to buy the cleaning detegent.

of course, if money is not a problem for ya, Viking, subzero, wolf are even better choice.
Other things, do not buy Kitchenaid dishwashers. they have a ventilation hub on top of the dishwasher door, the steam comes out of it during operation, I got mold under countertop pretty soon. Also, Kitchenaid dishwasher is way noisier than Bosch and Melie. It is not worth of the money, even Kenmore, GE etc are better.
