NATURE AND SCOPE
The Reliability Specialist provides contract reliability services for process control instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps, compressors, and other related process equipment typically as part of an operating unit within a process facility such as in refining, chemical, and other related industries.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Perform reliability services duties centered on an operating unit within a process facility including process instrumentation, valves, pumps, compressors, etc.
Insure that all plant safety policies are understood completely and followed at all times.
Participate in overtime and long schedules related to the turnaround on an operating unit.
Maintaining on-site planning, safety, and field service reports.
REQUIREMENTS
· Solid electrical, mechanical, and electronics knowledge
· Knowledge of valves and instrumentation required
· Understanding and use of test equipment
· Physical abilities to include climbing ladders, climbing towers, working in confined spaces, working on elevated platforms, and lifting devices
· Solid troubleshooting skills
· PLC and/or DCS related experience is a plus
· Strong Customer Communication skills including verbal and writing
· Ability to work well under pressure and sometimes meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines
· At all times demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and customer contacts
· Must be able to travel and work overtime as required
· Ability to read and interpret written work instructions, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
· Knowledge and understanding of personal computers and use of Microsoft such as Word and Excel
· Dedication and Commitment to deliver quality services to customers
· Planning and organizational skills
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
· An engineering degree with three (3) years of relevant field/plant experience or,
· A technology associate degree plus seven (7) years of relevant field/plant experience, plus supervising and coordinating numerous field service activities as related to the technical field or,
· Ten (10) years of relevant field experience plus supervising and coordinating numerous field service activities as related to the technical field
· Strong sales support, service and organizational skills
· Ability to work irregular schedules
· Ability and willingness to work overtime
