the number of available fishing spots around GTA area has been reducing so dramatically in the last few years and/or the fishing spot in westport is so good and other places are just non-comparable.
To be honest, the best answer to these questions should be from these fishing enthusiasts. I asked one guy before why he wants to go fishing at night, the answer from him was the crappies are more active during the night, especially when fishing with a super-bright lamp.
Personally, I despise fishing with such equipments but what I can say, myself usually go out fishing with even more advanced techno-gears, (carbon rod/fish finder/gps locator/trolling motor/all types of artificial lures). How could I blame some old-fashion fishing tricks that work like a charm. Since they don't have all the gadgets I have, they might have to settle down for driving 4 hours and fishing late night with a bright lamp along with a rod.
Does that answer your question, my friend?
