          比如瑞士人均收入比美国高， 但是瑞士有可能这个人均的家庭是大学毕业， 而美国是高中毕业。

          同样， 如果这个收入在美国和加拿大都是高中毕业， 那么就要比较大学毕业家庭的中位数(因为中国人在两边都是高文凭)， 才有意义。

          我提供的那个数据更能说明问题：加拿大的产业比美国低级， 对高技能的人才需求量比美国低， 而且这种人占人口的比例也低很多。

      In Canada, the top 5% of individual income recipients in 2004 had an income of at least $89,000. In the U.S., this figure would not have placed them even in the top 10%. The 5% threshold for the U.S. was $165,000 (using purchasing power parity values), almost twice the Canadian figure. Further up the income distribution, the U.S. and Canadian thresholds diverge considerably. The threshold for the top 0.01% in Canada is approximately $2.83 million, compared with $9.4 million in the U.S.6
