Forgot to surrender I-94

Anybody know where I can surrender I-94 within Canada

I went to buffalo yesterday for shopping and returned the same day. I am a Permanent Resident of Canada and got a new I-94 (legally stay until Sept 29,07) stapled to my passport when I entered US. On my way back, the Canadian officer didn't even look at my passport but the P.R card. I didn't realize I have to surrender the I-94 until I'm home.

Do I have to go the the US/Canada border to surrender the I-94 or there is an easier way to do so, such as going to Canada custom office? Or can I just simply un-staple the I-94 from my passport and toast it away?

就像理论上24小时内免税购物额度从美国到加拿大是zero，不过海关这边默认还是50/person；美国海关那边默认你不交I94是准备在到期之前还要再去美国，所以至少陆路边境离开美国境不交I94很正常。另外，我不认为你把卡交了与丢到垃圾桶里有什么区别，交给加拿大海关他们也可能弄丢，或者我怀疑他们就当废纸直接扔进垃圾桶。。。我上回I94到期就直接扔碎纸机了，上周和LD一起入境美国，美国海关的officer只问我的白卡弄哪里去了（因为我LD的I94在），我说上次在机场给someone了，然后就像没办I94一样从新办了一张交6块钱拍照取指模而已，LD的啥也没弄，直接把护照签证还给了她。

不是打搅谁这么简单的问题。如果你这样误导别人扔掉I94，将来万一被查而无法提供离境记录，可能被控逾期居留，然后就是被禁止入境。 -ice(一笑); 2007-9-4 (#3910501@0)
