I shipped my car from Canada to US (in CA) a few months ago via a professional mover.
I am requested by DMV to present a copy of Custom stamped form in order to register the car in CA. The thing is that my mover told me that US Customs Agent did not stamp the form due to the fact that my car was shipped in via informal entry. My mover asked me to go directly into the Customs office here local to get a stamp.
BTW, I have manufacturer's clean air letter and also passed the emission test for the car. Does anybody have similar experience? or Am I the only lucky one picked out by DMV to suffer?
Please share your experience. or tell me where is the closest local Customs office in San Jose area to have a form stamped? Trully appreciate your info in advance!
