I am not sure what is your question. If I were you, I would first get written confirmation from delivery company, email will do. Then, find right department of customs service, then give them a ring. Tell them you understanding the inspection is essential and just check why it takes so long time to be inspected. Ask them doing it quick. Don't fight first, unless they do not listen to you. Once you decided to fight, fight it hard. Try to keep all communication in written form including telephone records. Find relavent case laws first to support your cliam.
