Dear Mr./Mrs.
I am writing to seek your kindly advice on my citizenship oath date. I want to hear from you that if I should stay in Canada to wait for the date to be decided or I should get back to my work and wait for the appointment after I get back to Canada next time. The following steps have been taken to ensure this date
1. Nov 1, 2005. I called CIC call center to inform I would not be available to take the oath before Feb 2006 right after I took the test. The agent advised me to write a letter with photocopies to support my excuse;
2. Nov, 2005. I mailed the letter to put off my oath date to the 2nd floor St. Clair Av. East, Toronto;
3. Since I couldn’t use the toll free phone in China, I asked my friend on my behalf to call the CIC Call Center and confirmed my letter had been received. And also confirmed my request was accepted and my oath date would be scheduled as desired;
4. Nov 15, 2005. I still received the notice to attend the ceremony on Nov 29, 2005. My friend called the call center and confirmed that had been put off;
5. Jan, 2006. My friend on my behalf called the call center to inquiry when my appointment would be. He got the answer that the specific date had not been decided yet at that time but it would be between Feb 15, 2006 and Mar 15, 2006; Agent suggested to call back on Feb.
6. Feb, 2006. Before I came back to Toronto, my friend called the CIC Call center me again. He got the same answer as last time;
7. Feb, 2006. I got back to Canada and called to CIC Call Center and I had the same answer as my friend did;
8. Mar 13, 2006. I called the CIC and still got the same answer.
9. Mar 13, 2006. I went to 2nd Floor St. Clair Avenue East and inquiry my information from the agent on site. She suggested me write letter to you and gave me the fax number to your office which is 416-954-6579;
10. Mar 13, 2006. I sent a letter to inquiry my status;
11. Mar 13, 2006. I faxed my request along with the letter written in 2005 which requested to put off my oath date to your office;
12. Mar 15, 2006. Faxed the inquiry to your office.
13. Mar 16, 2006 Called the Call Center. No update has received.
To stay and wait or to leave, I don’t know what to do now. Please give me a hint and advise me what I should do.
Sincerely yours,更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
