Good company always value their customers, even in many cases it is the customer 's fault. Yes, Rule is "final sale no change no return", but there are many many exceptions in their rules for them to handle the customer's complaints as well. All my suggestions are based on I believe what LZ said. Even that is a final sale, but the rep on the phone set a wrong expectation for the customer, and the sales failed to clarify the final product to the customer as well. This is really a small case, no big deal. Customer service department always take the complaint very seriously and would take it a good chance to build up customer's rapport.. It is so easy to make this customer hahppy and keep her loyalty, just like sending a $20 coupoun or sth, why not? . Normally they will do sth to compensate the trouble they bring to you.
LZ, just do it. Tell them your feeling and frustration, and the fact you left that wrong product on their counter as well. You never know if you don't try. In Canada, we have to learn how to complain.
