We are seeking an experienced Java applications engineer who will be involved in all phases of development through design, development and QA.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop web -based graphical user interface components using UI technologies.
Interface with the product management team and develop design proposals and UI prototypes.
Contribute to the system architecture; take ownership of design and development of major components and user interfaces.
Develop and maintain components and unit tests.
Participate in code, design and documentation reviews.
Requirements:
Experience developing rich client, data driven, and multi-tier web applications.
Demonstrable experience with web user-interface technologies such as Jakarta Struts, Java Server Faces, Continuations, Java Script/DHTML, Swing, and Applets.
Swing UI development experience - a good understanding of and practical experience with MVC. Ability to design and build highly responsive applications and complex user interfaces.
7+ years of software development experience in a product company
3+ years of Java development in a J2EE environment
Object Oriented Analysis and Design using Java or C++.
A strong understanding of RDBMS principals and data models - experience with Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server.
Understanding of the application development and deployment life cycle and methodologies.
