Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Position Overview Participate in functional definition, design, implementation and testing of code for
the NetProvision software for the Access and/or Transport line of products.
Experience & Skills
§ 5~8 years of SW development experience using OOD methods in a UNIX
environment using C++/JAVA
§ Unix scripting and development tools (Solaris, BSD, or Linux)
§ Network concepts and network topologies
ATM/FR/DSL/SONET/SDH/DWDM/MPLS/Carrier-class Ethernet
§ Network and Element Management concepts
§ Software development process and life cycle in a production environment
§ Strong analytical and communication skills
§ Teamwork and leadership abilities
Ideally, the candidate will have expertise with:
- Clearcase and/or other source code revision control systems
- XML and XML parsers
- Tcl/expect
- SQL
- CORBA
- SNMP
- Network / Element Management Systems (NMSs / EMSs)
- Operations support system (OSSs)
