Role Description:
As Intermediate Systems Administrator, you will be in charge of network and server administration, as well as hardware/software management and helpdesk / technical support. You will:
 Manage development servers running Domino/ Windows 2000
 Provide day to day system administration on user id management, email accounts, mailing lists, file system creation/change, maintain version release software, etc
 Provide support to Developers, DBA, System Analysts, Business Analysts & Project Management group on various Operating Systems and tools, network configuration & system related issue
 Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
 Maintain inventory for computer hardware and software licenses.
 Trouble shoot user application problem, performance issues on system & network
 Install, configure & maintain software. Perform necessary upgrades to the operating systems, including researching and installing patches, security updates, and service packs
 Perform and manage system backups and recovery.
 Administer and configure routers and firewalls.
Skills Required:
o Must be self-motivated individual who takes pride in delivering high quality work products and working as an integral part of a team
o Must enjoy working in a fast paced, results oriented environment
o Must be flexible in work after hour occasionally during upgrade/emergency fix
o Ability to clearly communicate and write clear and concise documentation
o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure within a fast pace team environment
o Experience with Windows NT/2000/2003 and Active Directory, group Policy is a must
o Experience with enterprise mail systems, Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Lotus Domino 6.5, is a must
o Experience with Linux, Sun Solaris, AIX is a must
o Applicants should have 5+ years of system administration experience, 3+ years experience as a Unix (AIX/Solaris) System Administrator in a corporate business environment
o Desktop support for PC environment supporting Win98/NT4/Win2K/WinXP and Microsoft Office Suite; Mac OS 9.0 & X
o Knowledge and experience with:
 Routers, firewall and switch (Cisco series)
 TCP/IP networking, WINS, DNS and DHCP
 Apache, IHS, IIS, and WebTrends
 Bright Stor 11 and Veritas Backup EXEC
o BA/BS degree in an MIS related field or equivalent experience
Highly Desirable:
o Experience Supporting Windows 2000/2003 and
o Completion of the Microsoft Certified Software Engineer (MCSE) certification on Microsoft Windows Server 2000
o Completion of the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate
