In completing "how to calculate residence" form, you have to complete either section 1 (if you have not been in Canada before becoming a PR) or section 1 + section 2( if you were in Canada before becoming a PR).
Section 1C says that you are not eligible yet to apply if no. of days is less than 730 days because it is considering the maximun no of days you can counts toward citizenship residence requirement on periods you may have stayed in Canada before becoming a PR, that is max. 2 years /2 =365 days, so 730 days + 365 days = still 1095 days.
Going further down section 1E : if E is > 1095, apply, if <1095, go to section 2. And at enf of section 2 i.e. section 2L, if no is at least 1095, apply.
Further down the same form, it say that even if you have accumulated lee than 1095 days in four years, you may still apply and its up to the judge to decide if you meet the residence requirements. I believe tiger74 interpreted correctly
