本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛The Media Information Technology department has an immediate opening for an Oracle Database Developer. Reporting to the Director IT Implementation, the successful candidate will be responsible for Oracle database design and development.
The candidate will work closely with the development staff and production DBAs to manage and maintain production systems and design, develop and implement changes to existing and implement new systems.
The IT Implementation team supports a variety of application systems in Media including over 70 customer facing web properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and develop PL/SQL code, stored procedures and triggers
• Design and develop database design and work with developers to write SQL scripts to meet application data requirements
• Work with production DBAs to manage the implementation of changes and resolution of problems
• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products in development environment
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery and database security policies and procedures
• Perform database and application tuning and performance monitoring
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
• Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Core Competencies: Customer Service Orientation, Teamwork and Collaboration, Adaptability, Initiative, Integrity, Individual Accountability and Operational Excellence
• Role Specific Competencies: Innovative/Creating Thinking; Problem Solving/Judgement; Achievement Orientation; Listening, Understanding and Responding.
• University degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong organization skills and excellent attention to details
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a challenging fast paced team and customer oriented environment.
• Expertise with Oracle database, related utilities and tools.
• Experience with Linux Operating system; Orion or WebLogic application servers; Apache web servers; broadcast email systems and automated testing tools is an asset.
