solutions using the MLJ methodologies and architecture

providing accurate time estimates as well as coaching and
providing direction to less experienced members of the team.

Hands on design and programming at an intermediate to
senior level.
Develop effective and timely systems solutions.
Collaborate with business partners within Manulife Japan
and?with other departments within Information Services
to deliver effective IS solutions.
Qualifications
Essential:
Proven programming/design skills in a project
environment.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven working experience with COBOL, HTML, SQL.
Knowledge and ability to work within the Project
Management Methodology and Systems Design Methodology.
Proven ability to deliver systems solutions on time.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to build strong relationships with business and
IS professionals.
Proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment.
Ability to work effectively and remain focused?in a fast
paced environment.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to work in a team environment and to foster a
strong team culture.
Active learner, who can learn quickly and independently.
Desireable:
Ingenium, DB2, CICS, Rexx, Unix, Java, JavaScript,
Actuate
Educational /Experience Requirements:
Essential:
Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.
Previous Information Systems?experience.
Minimum of two years experience in Application
development.
Desirable:
Experience working in the Financial sector
Knowledge of written and/or spoken Japanese
